Marte is a research master student at the University of Amsterdam. She has an interest in researching cognitive enhancement, which started during her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Sciences, and continued to grow during her Research Master of Social Sciences at UvA.

In collaboration with Aleksi Hupli and Gabija Didziokaite, Marte is currently writing two articles concerning cognitive enhancement among university students. One article elaborates on the treatment/enhancement dichotomy that is often portrayed in the literature, and how it is inconsistent with the lived experiences by university students using cognitive enhancers. The second article focuses on how students regulate their use of cognitive enhancers, to minimize the harms and maximize the benefits of their use.
